Complete occlusion of the carotid artery below the carotid sinus activates the sympathetic effect on Heart rate and TPR to raise the blood pressure. But my question is what happens when carotid artery is partially occluded. say for example if there is a 80-90% stenosis in the carotid artery before the carotid sinus. what is the effect on baroreceptors?????are they in stretched or relaxed condition???? Please answer this with explanation
