currently preparing 4 st2 bt lacking motivation n focus reason being low st1 score 193|79 which i hardly expected as i did well n that my exam was very easy at the same time i regret that i did not prepare well 4 st1. iam hoping 2 appear in jan2007 4 st2. kindly advise me how 2 go about st2 n what r the chances of match with this score.

worry not my friend...a stellar step 2 score and all will be well...many places consider average scores of both steps so if you have average above 85 you can apply to many colleges..also there are many places with no min score requirement...so your whole application matters for them.

begin your step 2 studies in earnest now!

thanks brother . i guess the zeal n aspiration is not there with st2 as it was 4 st1 nevertheless one has 2 move on n hope 4 best

Hi astle
I'm in the same situation... got a 79 in step 1 and just passed the CS. So... it's not just you...
Now I'm studying for the CK but not very motivated either. I was planning in rushing with the CK so I could match this year but now I think maybe I should slow down and try to score higher on the the st2... I heard some people still get residency way after the match is closed, applying directly to the hospitals. Not sure if it's true. How are you doing with your study? I'll pay the qbank Usmleworld soon...
