I have schedueled 2 interviews in 2 consecutive days...
I have checked air links from PA to NY and they have enough flights.... the first interview fininshes at 1430 hrs.. and the flight is after 1800 hrs for NY where i have interview the next morning... do you think i have ample time....
any suggestions or guidance..
Also...if i wear a dark colored full length skirt (black or brown )with a nice top.. is that okay or does it HAVE to be suit..
plz advice... apurva, bbb, chemamr, laptop and others

HI moozy
Suit is better as everyone else will be wearing one, you would feel very out of place. try to get a blazer of the same color. Skirt suits are good.
for travelling if its philly y dont u try trains which are more frequent and easier and convenient.

Moozy,
I'll suggest on taking a train from Philly to NY....30th street st phil and NY Penn station are connected with a decent frequency of trains.

actually, i think i look better in skirt suits then pants.. but will see how it goes.. still have one month... I have to travel from Philly to albany... rail seems a good idea

way enuf time. im coverin 5 states in back to back 8 iviews over 10days in early nov. relax. train is fantastic for philly. 1hr 20min - frequency is once an hour from ny grand central. gl

Just use amtrack to travle between NY and PA its easier faster and cheaper(not much though),go to amtrack.com and u'll find lots of trains.

Do you insist on flying when you can cover the distance on your roller skates.If so take a flight..IF not ,I have put my roller skates up on sale at e-bay ..On them you can cover ny to philly in a jiffy .Grab them before some other NY to Philly commuter grabs tehm.
Second question -surprised me as i used to think you are a male .sorry never dealt in dressing up women.Wear what you can showcase with elan.I have the most weirdest of the crappest dressing sense which is a neccessity of my job.If you still want a sugestion ,i will be happy to give.

Amtrack provides RAIL PASS for consecutive trips. you can buy 15 days Rail Pass for Northeast including Philly, , Trenton, New York, and also Washington and Boston for $200. they give you the pass and then whenever you want to travel, you get a ticket showing this pass.

many places with comm hospitals are far-flung with no airport within 10 miles. now is it allowed and convenient to rent a car with international driving license? any inputs anyone?

thank you all..... i have just checked amtrack and there are plenty rails available...
i drive but am more used to of english driving system then USA (left hand drive )... i was only concerned abt the time to reach Albany for the next interview on 1st dec ... because the philly interview apparently ends at 1400 and i was not sure of the exact time one can actually be absolutely free....

Katzung: what do you mean .....academics and not visa...
Also, i wanted to ask you wether you applied for J1 / H1B from UK or India.. I am more interested in J1 as i feel the process is easy and fellowship placements are an options as well and green card is not on my list of priorities... I am not sure wether I can apply for J1 ( if i get match ) from UK... or will i have to go back to Pakistan to apply for it....
