I think because p=0.06>0.05, fail to reject null, get a type II error, beta=1-power. So, increasing sample size will increase power and decrease beta.
Between A and C, I prefer A because it's the origin of this error.

Is it B? Bcos An experiment is said to possess external validity if the experiment’s results hold across different experimental settings, procedures and participants. If a study possesses external validity, its results will generalize to the larger population.

I go with C since A does not specify that the problem is caused by the sample size (rather, it seems to suggest the experiment should be conducted using other subjects).

ANS : inappropriate study population.. as above 65 yrs most susceptible for fractures ...

can someone explain choice B

bumping this q up as there are no convincing answers....somebody good in bio stat pls try & crack it.

I think it is A because is MCC of beta error is inadequate population.

  #10

Can it be external validity....Since ,the power for this study is quite sufficient ..Problem could result in generalisation??

Can somebody explain it a bit more

Ans is A...as p here is >0.05,hence the statistical significance is very low...to increase the statistical significance, one must have to increase the sample size...doing that,we can get a p value <0.05 and then one can make a comment about the use of that drug...

  #12

i think its C. agreed dat to increase the statistical significance we need to increase the sample size . so increasing the sample size will b increasing the power. so the problem here is low power dats option C.
inappropriate study population does not clearly indicate wat xactly is inappropriate.smiling face
