if we applied in mid sept.is it time to start calling up programs now..or should we wait another week.

You can call, but it won't get you very far - if you have unlimited cell phone numbers, it can't hurt. I'll be sending invites this week, most programs are near that point.

I've received 2800 applications - if I receive 2800 emails, I am not going to have time to get back with everyone. Sit tight, wait. You can call or write, but don't expect much - PDs and PCs are swamped at this time of year.
