agree, a polite no so others who are interested can go.

You don't need to reply to interviews that have been offered that you don't want to book. Just delete it from your email and move on. It's no big deal.

some interviews are better than none.. look at those who are desperate for just one call if you dont match at the place of your choice and match at some reasonable CH.. it is better to have 1 yr USCE on hand and re-applying ofr next yrs match ; than just waiting for next yrs match... with your scores you will surely get good calls... Keep some faith in urself.. GL

Guess it is also about the $$ one has available to spend.....if I had a bunch of interview calls I was really interested in...I wouldn't want to spend extra $$ for places I had little/no interest in, but had applied only for the "safety-net" factor... But all said and done, its a personal call...

I think, you should send a polite no, so that they can give the call to some one lower in the list.

my 2 cents; it is a very delicate balance in going to enough interviews to be in an optimal position to match and money and time budget. agree that you should go to some acceptable programs as safety net. it all depends and you are the one with all the info in hands to decide where to go and where not to go. btw, are you looking for a prematch? if you are, just schedule for late in the season and then cancel when you accept an offer. Please note it is important to cancel to give others opportunity at that place. personal experience: I cancelled one IV for scheduling conflicts with a polite email and they replied thanking for taking the time to do that. in addition, in ERAS there is a way to withdraw the application. you might want to consider that also. good luck harry with best decision. ngt.
