I thought rapid review was the book written by Goljan.

  #5

yes, rapid review goljan is the book.

The 100 pages are called "goljan high yield"

The 500 pages are called "goljan general n systemic notes" These r supposed to b the best ones.
Goljan high yield is for last minute review b4 the exam as it contains ALL the subjects and not only pathology.

I am confused,

which one of the choices would you read along with the audio?...
the 36, 100 or 500 pages notes
Are they all called Goljan notes????

Please anyone bring light into the darkness

500 pages

I think 500 page means both general path and systemic path combined. This comes to just over 500 pages.
Audio follows the notes in bothe sections depending on the topic (Gen or Syst).

Then there are high yeild notes----->100 pages and 36 pages
But it is noted that there are areas of overlap in these two
As suggested by salmonella the so called 500 pages notes are the best
(actually more than 500 pagesgringringringringrin

Also, I bought the Rapid Rview pathology book (its part of the rapid review series and goljan does the path for it) and his auidio follows it very well. I find this better just b/c I like that it's a book and not scanned notes.

RRS-rapid review series has about 300 pages text material and MCQ (cd-300+text-100).
300 pages of notes are combined notes from Goljan seminars, and it is very condnsed material, but it includes all of the subjects. RRS has more explanations for each topic, but it is only Patho. Both sources are good. Goljan also has Bio RRS book (which is a theory of Patho, as many people would say), but it has very limited infor about Molecular Bio (Kaplan LN is the best for it).
