I would like to share my experience on Step 1 exam.
I just did Oasis trick today and it said that I have already passed the exam.
First of all, I would like to give a special thank you to some people who really worked hard and were serious examples for me. I will say thank you to Mazinger, Robin, Royal George, Sharvil and P 53.
Your experience and all your suggestions through the forum happened to be very helpful to me during my preparation.
My exam, I could say was very difficult. I did not have a good night rest before the exam and I was feeling very tired during all my test but I was always referring to Sharvil when I wanted to give up and went all the way through this tiring and stressfulevent.
First Aid 2006 book was a blessing for me and also UW AND of course Kaplan and KREJ who really supported me all the way. During my last three weeks I did nothing else than FA and questions. I review my personal notes.
I got as usual a lot of molecular, immunology. Micro bio patho and pharmaco as Kaplan expert said. Some new drugs I never met were in the exam
Anatomy was mainly head and neck and PNS except one or tow on abdomen. I did not recall any embryology so I will say , this a very low high yield but it could help to answer some pathology and anatomy questions
It questions come from everywhere.
I am still waiting for my score but to know only that I passed this difficult itself is a big achievement for someone like me. I graduated for more than 10 years without any English background during my study.
I used Kaplan notes for Physio ( 2 times) and molecular ( 3 times)
BRS for behavioral 2 times and Pathology 3 times and BRS immuno and microbio.2 times
Neuonatomy, was High yield
My conclusion is that No matter how hard you study, you will still have some difficult questions and may be also miss some easy one’s. That’s where it hurts the most but keep focus and do net get disturb.
At least first aid was very helpful in the last minutes review.
My point is that; do not go to this exam if you don’t read first aid but this is only my opinion. Some people managed to master Kaplan three, four five times. It could be an option for those who have time.
But for people like me, old graduate with a family and growing kids running all the way around and my work to provide for my family, First Aid was helpful. I can recall more than 50 questions from first aid, as I was so tired.

Congrats.....................I am an old graduate to too. I am reading the same stuff and I am quite slow...I was wondering if there were small books and short cut to finish the LOOOOOOOOONG course and hit 99?

Thanks to all and Good lucktoall.
As all graduates, our realities are different but you have to focus and ask yourself what should I do to pass this exam. It is hard and time consuming.
My message for all old graduates is this. If I was able to it, than you can do it also.
To give an answer to oldkidontheblock. If you know very well First aid and wash kaplan video for some basic concept where you are weak. you may have 99. This exam is about concept.
You cannot recall first aid, unless you understand what you reading. So , please understand the concept
Good luck
