which is the cost effective treatment for H pylori? 1.AOC- Amox, Omeparo, clarithromycin 2.MOC- metro, omeparo, clarithro 3. RBCC- ranitidine, bismuth, calrithro 4.rani, bismuth, falgyl, tretacycline A&Y thanks

This question is not clear, of all 3 combinations choice 1 as good clearance rates.

i thought the question is focused on "cost effective". is it? usually AOC is a standard treatment. but not sure it is "cost effective" or not.

just read a relevant q in usmleworld qbank. it says usually amoxicillin, ppi and clarithromycin. but if penicillin allergy, use metronidazole to replace amoxicillin.

I don't know but I think cost wise metro is cheaper than amox.

i think cost wise...the last option wd b the cheapest...metro,ranitidine r both cheaper as compared to clarithro....pl correct me if i m wrong...
