What does medical education interrupted or extended in ERAS actually mean?
DO program directors scan every detail of the medical transcripts and use them as a criteria to select candidates? will people with better scores in Medical school be preferred over others with lesser scores. Please reply

they do check it. I dont think unless u have gold medals, it doesnt make much difference. Cause Its difficult for pds to go over medical system all over the world.

No - what they do look for is if you took longer than usual to graduate medical school. That's mostly what is looked for.

Thanks BBB and dev
MY medical education was extended by six months because I was sick and couldnot appear for my surgery exam. I took my surgery exam after 6 months and completed my graduation. Do I have to mention about these six months? Iam worried coz although it is a short duration , I think it may create a negative impact on program directors

Don't you mention it in your CAF? Sure, it's under medical education interupted or extended and reason. Just fill it in - it's not a big deal, they just look for academic reasons (couldn't pass a course for academics, not health)

Thanks BBB,
So should I click on as a Yes or a No in the application.

If your school was extended, it's a yes. If it wasn't, it's a no.
