Plz.. help..
I will apply 2008 match, IM.
I have to choose J1 or H1.
The problem is..
my girlfriend. we will marry soon. actually she is still med student in my home country. she has to study one more year and come to US, take USMLE and will apply 2010 match.
Question is, if we both choose J1, should I go home country leaving her alone in three years? or, can I do fellowship and go home country with her after 5 years?

agree with dev. One dog at a time my friend. Anyway, the truth is most IMGs go for H1 visa but its not something you will choose like the mc donalds big mac. First get a residency, second get one that sponsor H1 visa, third take your step 3, fourth hope that the prog accepts to sponsor you with an H1 visa. It's every IMGs wish but its not an easy way
