Hotels always have this facility of storing your luggage if you stayed with them. They keep your luggage usually in a storage room behind reception dedicated for this purpose. You can get it back by showing your id when you are done with the interview. I find it better to rent a car. This way there is an additional option of carrying your luggage in the trunk plus you can have better mobility. A compact car's whole day rent is equal to one time cab trip.

sometimes hospitals have cab service which pick u up for interviews and drop u back to hotel.

good tips. i didn´t know of such very friendly hospitals Dev. Could you give some examples of that? it won´t harm anybody.

last year when I interviewed at UM columbia. they provided ashuttle in the morning and in the evening to and from hotel. But such programs are few and far in between.
