Alcohol is a mitochondrial poison which damage hepatocytes, therefore decreases albumin and anticoagulants (prothrombin) which is formed by the hepatocytes

alcohol metabolism increase the NADH/NAD ratio in liver causing the intermediates of gluconeogenesis (pyruvate, OAA ) to be diverted into alternate pathways such as Fatty acids synthesis (hepatic steatosis). This is also the mechanism forh hypoglicemia in alcohol intoxication.
