Allham dulillah
Were the words that talked out of my brocas area after being comprehended in the wernickes area
As I stepped out of my centre
I ve been very lucky THRU THESE FEW YRS OF MY MED STUDY
ALLAH HAS BEEN VERY KIND TO ME
ALWAYS HELPED ME TO GET THRU VERY DIFFICULT N ODD SITUATIONS
N THIS WAS NO WAY DIFFERENT PLUS I GT SO MANY WELL WISHERS WHO REALLY BOOSTED MY COFIDENCE,HVE NO WRDS TO THANK U GUYS
I SLEPT AROUND 9PM THE NGHT BEFR MY EXAM N BELIEVE ME IT WAS THE BEST SLEEP I GT IN THE PAST FEW MNTHS
HAD NO TENSION TO STUDY
GT UP AT 4;30 N HAD SOME SEHRI
ABT 3/4th of a paratha n few sips of tea skipped my roza as the place where I had to take my test was abt 2hrs drive from my home
After sayng my fajr prayers I left fr the centre gt there arnd 730 had to wait fr an hr n then got in around 830
Placed my stuff in the fridge n went in the waitng room
We were called in
N I was the second last person to get in
As there were 5 step1 n 4 step2 ppl
Strted my exam around 925
Was anxious as the blok strted
Gt the very frst qs frm ethics hehe
My worst nghtmare
Gt around 15 qs frm behaviour in my frst blok n really strted losing cofidence
Then suddenly my computer crashed it was blessing in disguise I raised my hand as we were nt allowed to talk
The person came n noted the error,I was on my 47th qs in my frst blok whn system crashed
It took 10 12 minutes to reload my exam n they shifted me from seat4 to seat7 n yes it was the lucky seven fr me
Heheh
Decided to take a break after my frst blok as I strted having my old pulsating temporal headache
Went out n ate choclates n drank chocmilk n cam back strted my 2nd blok
It was bit easier,strted hvng confidence in me
Then again took a 6 minutes break as I finished my blok 6 minutes earlier
Again ate choclates n had sme mango juice
Went in fr 3rd blok
My confidence was building up after evry blok
It was also easy ,had sme weird qs but still 80 per were answerable
Again took a 5 minutes break as I finished my blok earlier
Came out n washed my face had sme water n went in fr 4th blok n lost concentration in the 4th blok
Strted havng pain in my eyes was hard to even look twrds the screen but ALLAH helped me n fnshed it
Came out took a 20 minutes break
Lied on the sofa n closed my eyes n lalmost slept fr 15minutes then did wazoo n said my zohr prayers went in again fr 5th blok
Found smeqs easy n some v diffclt
After blok5 I again took a 15minutes break n ate sme chicken rolls n sndwchs n had sme mango juice
Then went in fr 6th blok
Found it easy n fnshed it earlier but decided to kept on revising it
Came ot fr a 10 minutes break
N almost took a bath heheh during my wazoo
Gtmy self wet during wazoo n yes it made me fresh
Went in fr the final blok
Did it confidentally alhamdulillah n then it was over
Filled in the survey n was then was handed over the completion paper
The staff was really v good n a bit surprised to see a 115kg dr
Hehe
Wished me luck during each break
They were v helpful
The fridge was a bit afr from the waitng area so to save time I put my stuff in the waitng lounge
So that eat as quikly as I could
I came out of the centre around 5;32
To my surprise my friend was waitng fr me
So was nice to meet him after so many months
Then went fr some aftari ate alotttttt
Then I went to our medical college hospital rgh
Where I met my college friends as all of them doin internships house jobs
Was fun roames abut fr few hrs finally reached my bros place n discussed qs wth him
N then slept
Yes it was atlast over
Hehe
Alhamdulillah
Regarding the content I can't tell u guys wat exactly came but can tell sme imp thngs
1.do renal n respo really well
2.do fev1 fvc aldosterone angiotensin renin gfr rpf n ff really v well
Almost evry qs relates to those ,be very clear abt those vv clear
They asked aldosterone from evry angle
3.behaviour bettr listen to its dvd or audio
I gt 30 35 qs frm it n really its ur luck if u get them rght or wrng but still be prep fr this
4.biostats only2 qs n they were v easy ,yes I was lucky in that
5.genetics anther area wch wasn't tested at all gt only 2 qs n were simple
6.gt sme weird graphs n I guess they were experimental but guys they were v strange
7.pharma was moderately tested mostly drugs interactions gt 2 mechanisms of action
No drug of choiceqs
8.anatomy nt a single qs wthut ct mri gross or histo
Even gt sme drawings hehe
But they were easy only the mris from hip were unimaginably poor,total pitch black wasn't able to see anytng yes believe me
Rated them v poor in the survey
8.biochem was mostly itegrated wth patho,no direct qs guys total goljan stuff,his concepts were mostly tested n his audios were a big help
Regarding q banks
Kaplan q bank helps u to grasp knowledge so its a must
But do use uwrld
I really found it helpful as thngs teste din exam were basically scenarios n uwrld helps u to get used to those scenarios
It asks qs the same way wth 6-8 options I gt qs wth even 10 options but its doable
Secondly uwrld helps u to get used to the sftwae
U can percieve 80-85 percent of the qs,n some qs no1 can't so don't hve to worry abt those impossible ones
Just be cofident n practise qs that's wats saves ur time on the exam day
As u practise qs u get used to percieve the scenarios quikly wth quik reaction time
So this helps u a lot
I dnt knw how useful these thngs wuld be as now I hve to wait fr my scores inshallah ALLAH WILL HELP ME IN MY SCORES AS WELL
I HVE FULL FAITH IN HIM

I would like to ask you if you have done NBME and USMLE world, and what are your scores in those.
And it seemed to you that it was getting easier (block by block)
I hope to have a 99!

KAPLAN Q BOOK...I DONT REMEBER AS I DIDNT CALCULATE THE CUMULATIVE PERCENTAGES BUT IT WAS HOVERING AROUND 80-84 PERCENT

Yes, im doing Kaplan Q bank along with 2 nd revision( some subjects 1st reading then immediatelly Kaplan Q bank for that subject).. i feel i grasp more this way...yes, agree i get new concepts out of each Qs of Q bank...i'll do UW soon as i finish kapl Q bank... thanks for your honest advises, they meant alot though !

Like i said, if you dont get a minimum 97, then im not going to sit for the exam soon !

InshAllah you will get a 99. I was wondering which centre you went to? is power failure or computer problems a norm in your centre? I read about one in karachi a few years ago (i think in dawn) .

can u tell me the difference between kaplan dvd's and kaplan audio? i just recently noticed kaplan audio, what is it?
what is kaplan essentials? is a summary of the kaplan lecture notes? is it very useful? how wud u compare it to first aid?

REGARDING POWER FAILURE YES I HEARD THNGS ABT KARACHI ,BUT AS WINTER IS HOMIN IN SO THNGS WILL BE MUCH BETTR REGARDING POWER DISRUPTION
I HEARD IN IBD CENTRE THERE WAS A POWER FAILURE ONCE BUT I DONT THNKSO IT WILL OCCUR AGAIN IN WINTER ,AS THESE THNGS HAPPEN MOSTLY IN SUMMER

SAME AS KAPLAN DVDS.ACTUALLY RIPPED AUDIOS FROM DVDS ,ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THEY ARE A BIT CONCISE,SOME CHAPTERS FROM DVDS ARE MISSING IN THOSE,I PERSONALLY LIKE THESE AUDIOS AS U CAN LISTEN TO THOSE EASILY IN UR MP3 PLAYER
