Because of the fact that the programs are overwhelmed by the number of applications, they start sending out rejection letters without retreiving some important info about new applicants, such as USMLE transcript, ps and LoRs.
I don't want to receive a rejection like that from the program I'm really interested in.
Is it pertinent to email the program and say smth like: " please, consider me, I'm really-really interested in Your program"?

I honestly don't have the nswer to that question Rasul, but I'm in the same situation.

I rcvd a rejection from Cleveland Clinic with 1 out 4 LoRs avaliable. I have a great Dean's Letter s well which is not viewable before Nov. 1.

it's true I only have a decent step 1 score in hand, but cs clears (enshaallaah) in a week or so.

I hate to receive rejections that early especially that I only applied in OHIO and pittsburgh due to family reasons. Too few programs to begin with!

God help us all through this!

Consider the number of applications that we receive - someone isn't going to get that interview. As for sending the letters that you are really, really, really interested in the program, and it makes you feel better to send them - then do it. Honestly, they don't get to the program directors for the most part.

Good luck.

Truly appreciate your answer, forum gurus! Please, forgive me my arrogance, but I have one more question.
Should we send thank you letters towards the acknowledgement letters we got from some programs?

It's rather uneasy filling- neither rejection, nor invitation for interview, but some sort of "hung in the air" condition. Maybe we need to respond to those letters somehow and thank them ( not that it's going to increase my chances!)
Your responses are appreciated!

Not necessary to send thank you to an acknowledgement.

Good luck
