Hello Everyone: Let me break the trend and ask if there is such thing as Green Card friendly program. Some one mentioned programs in Carolinas, and Colorado are green card friendly. I find my self (green card holder) not at much advantage because at IMG friendly programs, I am competing against all other IMGs and at non-IMG friendly programs, I am competing against AMG. So either way, It is a tough situation. Having said that, I feel terrible for IMGs who have immense amount of talent but can not get visa or sponsorship. So all in all, I know I am luck to not worry about visa. Any one comments and feedback will be much appreciated. Thanks.

statistics show that around 54% of us-imgs match , and around 52% of non us-imgs match so as you can see my freind its not that big diffrence, its the whole package that will make the diffrence, by the way im in a similar condition as you, but you can search programs that dont sponsor visas, i think you will have a better chance there, i hope i have been helpful

ALL the programs that are "IMG friendly" are GC friendly : GCs have preference over people requiring visa anywhere. However, there are some specific programs which require IMGs to have GCs...the ones which "dont sponsor visas" and others which specifically mention this fact. So there you go...goodluck!
