plus see if u can apply to peds as a back up.but make sure to call up programs before u apply as many have stopped reviewing applications.

Send them an e-mail requesting information or an update about your application. I did it and some of them replied to me and told me that they are still in the reviewing process. That is how you keep your name in their mind and your chances open. Don't give up hope.
