Hi guys, Can anyone please advise me on this question. In, let's say a case of stroke, we are supposed to do the neurological exam, right. I have been practicing it over and over again - including CN II-XII exam, DTRs, motor, sensory and cerebellar tests, and there is no way we can finish it in 5 or 6 minutues. If we also consider that we need to do chest and heart and abdomen exam, then it might take 10 min. Any comments on how should we do it? Thanks

its very much possible to complete the neurologic exam i 3minutes and 20/30 seconds.you might be doing it too extensively.the neurologic exam is the most time consuming among all the physical exam and unfortunately there will be 2-3 cases onthe real exam in which we will have to perform this exam withing atleast 4 minutes.remember to make "MMSE" in dementia, parkinson, confused, etc cases.
