Pts suffering from opioid OD will most often b stuporous or in coma. These drugs are significant depressants of respiratory centers. However, opiates have a stimulatory effect on Edinger-Westphal nucleus, causing extreme pupillary constriction. In most other instances of coma e.g., caused by head injury, the pupils will be dilated
