Hi, I took the exam on september 5, OASIS updated th 27. Score 96/237 I would like to post my experience. I used a different approach, I’m a semi-old graduated, 3 years in a surgery residency in my country. I spent several months off preparing for the exams full time, both at the same time(step 1 and step 2 ck) I took step 2 first, passed 99/255, and five weeks later sat for step 1, without knowing at that time step 2 score, due a delay on the report. At least I had already assumed that I passed checking OASIS trick. I have already posted my CK experience. About the exam; as a lot of people said before, it’s really long, and tiresome, questions are very well represented by NBME, not very long questions but made me think a lot on each off them. Well balanced, all topics equally represented, I can’t say that there was any subject more tested than other. Not as clinical oriented as I expected. Books I used: First Aid, it’s unbelievable how many questions you can answer with this one. Micro made ridicously simple Pharmacology Lippincott Road Map Physiology Silbernagl, Color Atlas of Pathophysiology (favourite book from all times, you can find it on this forums) High yield behavioral High yield molecular biology Board simulator series(old questions, did not finish them because didn't like the style) Questions, all done during the final 5 weeks. Usmle World step 1 64%, quite new, I liked step 2 qbank so I took a chance. Really hard q, good explanations. 1100 q when i used it, they added a lot more. Usmle RX about 78%, this one it’s only for reviewing FA, questions not really good, just OK. NBME form 2 580, one week before.(howcome this things are so accurate?) I would like to thank everyone in this forums for helping me all this months. Good Luck

Thank you guys for your kind words. Let me see if I can anwer some of your questions: dr.dolittle: Molecular bio(and genetics, some picky q I had no clue about the answer), neuro(mostly neuroanatomy), pharm and micro, all heavily tested, plus patho. First Aid is great for most of the questions, about 20% q you need extra resouces. epica:UW 50 q blocks allways timed, by subject. elias: I had a strange feeling after the exam, all I could remember was questios that I had no idea about, and those that I realized later there were wrong. The exam questions are close to NBME, and easier than UW. Good luck

Thanks NJones, I read first aid 2006. I didn't use Kaplan Q-bank because I was short on money. But most people say is realy good. I found UW very usefull. About images, there were all kind of them in the exam, CT scans, gross patho, histo, blood smears, neuro(a lot), and many more. Good luck
