Dear doc fellows,
I have been a silent observer of this forum for last 4 months.and this forum really helped me a lot in preparing for the exam.I took my step 3 last month and passed it with score of 80.Thanks God.
I want to share my experience with you ppl
I was passing through a terrible crisis before this exam and i just didnt had time to take a look on the soft ware. trust me i learnt how to use the software when i was in exam room.but thanks god all cases went well and patients were feeling better. this was sign of relief to me. but i recommend to practice software atleast for two days before exam
main focus of exam is geriatrics. almost 70 percent of exam is geriatrics. think of any problem in an old man and that will for sure will be in the exam. at times i felt i m taking fellowship exam of geriatrics.
general outpatient paediatrics is important. no syndromes and rare problems at all
in gynae and obs. prenatal care, vitamins , iron deficiency. infections and contraception are really v v important
in surgery i got only adult and paediatric fractures and paediatric ortho problems
after medicine the next most imp thing is ethics.
they are advanced level ethics and i was really deficient in them because i havnt worked in any us hospital yet so it was pretty difficult to handle those issues.
so prepare ethics and legAL Issues well.
