Hi,
do we have to register for CVS-online (transmission of ecfmg certificate to medical licensing authority) or you only do it if the licensing authority asks for your ecfmg cert?
CT medical examining board requires it?

hi all,
i have a question about this service. does it provide the scores of each of the steps? or does only fsmb do that.
my question pertains to the requirement for a limited license from state board.

you have to send CVS when you are making the application for state licensng.
In PA borad, all they require is a filled form, the CVS from ECFMG ( online or manual to ECFMG), bank darft of 85 $ and a verification of mediacl education sent directly from medical school along with your transcript and degree copy.
I asume that the forms of all state boards will be similar if not same.

moozy, did u have to send a copy of the OASIS transaction with yr license application if so did u send the page stating the date and name reading

btw, do i say N/A for undergraduate school name if i didnt do premedical school?

the degree sent by my college was attested by my principal.. I am not sure if this is a requirement, but my principal attested the degree, transcript, curriculum and the form ( Verification of medical education).. all the paperwork was then placed in a college envelope and sealed and then my mother sent it via courier ( because my college wont post it) 
I did not send any confirmation of CVS onlne... the CVS was supposed to be sent to the administrative officer in my state board of medicine, which I assume the ECFMG will do.( should have done by now)
There was no place in my application form where i was supposed to write about pre medical school education. It was a very simple form.. just the name, contact details, medical school details, experience and some kind of declarations. I attached a brief CV about my clinical experience as there was not enough space on form...

thanks for the detailed reply. my medical school has filled in its address against premed education, now i have the enviable task of getting it rectified. luckily i noticed it before i sent it. (my school will not post it either . god bless our mothers! what wld we do without them..)

seri.... Make sure that your documents are filled in properly and placed in Medical school envelope and sealed before you post / courier it. I am sure that in my board ( PA Board) it is a requirement that the documents be sealed by medical school in envelope...
Yes.. God bless our families who do all the papaerwork for us while we are not in our home countries.... to get the work done by governmental offices is a hassle in itself.

maverick, try googling the name of the state and temporary license. but yr resi program will send that to you with the contract.
