hi,
I came to US 2 years ago and finished my usmle step one and two .I tried to find
observership but could not, and volunteer in any hospital will not allow get in contact with
patients, does this affect my chance to get residency here when i apply .I dont
have any US experience please help.

its preferable but not required and most of the IMGs don't have it...so u have as good a chance as anyone else..GL

shadia...observer/extern is still possible. Only thing is u will have to spend some time with ur PC- choose 10 states where u can realistically go, choose 3 branches with which u r comfortable, go to freida write an email to all chosen prgrms. I'm saying this coz I've done it and the feedback was awesome. So u must try hard before u give up...GL
