Hi yall... I have taken the Step 2 CK a couple of times, even after going through the Kaplan books and Q banks from Kaplan and USMLE World. My first language is Spanish, but I do speak English pretty well. I'm wondering if there is a way to get a personal tutor. See, I feel like I do know the material, but I always get caught up on THE VERY BEST NEXT STEP. X ray intead of CT... medication instead of another diagnostic test, etc... Does anyone know of a company, or someone in the Dallas area, that would be willing to sit down with me and go over questions, making sure 1) i do understand the case presented, 2) I understand why the correct answer is that one, etc???? Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated it.

Have you tried Falcon Review at http://www.falconreviews.com/? There is something about personal tutors on their website ...

I did Falcon for Step 1... didn't like it. Their thing about tutors is this... in the evenings, after their classes, they have tutors to help out those in class. I am not sure, it doesn't mention anything on their website, about hiring out those tutors for "outside" use, like in my case. I would have to register for the class. I mean... it is another option, but in addition to coming up with the $675 for the damn test, I would have to come up with almost $5000 for the class and stay at the hotel eventhough I live in the area. Thanks for the reply though.
