hi, every one. i have some question about canceling the scheduled interviews. since some of us, like me, applied to many many programs and found out we can't go all the programs where we got interviews. some programs even offer accomodation for free and they may have already arranged the room for us. isn't it very bad to cancel those scheduled date after the program coordinator has set up all the schedule for us?? how can we say to cancel the schedule without being rude? please give me some advice if you guys have any idea. thanks and good luck!!

I don't know how your going to tell them, but I do know its very important to cancel interviews your not going to go to so another soul can gain an oppurtunity..and we should all do it as soon as we realise we won't make it to some iview.....

Blame it on your girlfriend.Say she has lost the heel of her sandle .Almost all program co-ordinators are females . So they will be able to understand your plight .Some coordinators may even try to console you for the irreparable loss.

http://www.prep4usmle.com/forum/comments.php?id=2... If you have to cancel, you have to cancel. Just email the coordinator, thank them for the honour of an interview, and cancel. It's a fact of life.

But please do cancel right away so that other people who really want that spot get the chance to interview for it. Don't just let it hanging please! While you're piling up interviews other people might be just praying for the first one. SO please, do the right thing! A.

Please do not missunderstand me I crab816! I am very happy for you, for the interviews you have, and I wish you the best of luck! What I meant is to not give in to feeling bad about telling the PCs that you want to cancel, and not do it. I am sorry if I came across in another way! Again, best of luck to you and may you get into the program of your first choice! A.
