Well I finally managed to set the date for CS on OCT 31st....the earliest I could find. Post your prep or plans if you are gonna be giving it in Chicago or have given it already. Every little information helps towards the whole picture....lets go people....
So I have the USMLE World CS course...+ FA
Started going over FA DDs yesterday. Making some cuecards. Next week am gonna go over the USMLE World Cases. Then my wife is gonna be my guniea pig for the two weeks after that. We will do about three cases everyday.
Thats the plan so far. I know its easy an all thats why I dont wanna go too cool and screw this up.

So finished 10 FA cases....went over DD....questions etc etc. Finished 10 UW cases. I will start practice wit da wifey today....4 cases/day-5days till i get them pit pat. Have about 22 days till exam....should be ample time....will keep updated. Bought a stetho and white coat today... Make me feel like a doctore again...LOL.....

how are u practicing with ur wife?? I wanttoknow bc I also donthav any study partner also can u tell me how to study which books to study and how much time is required?/ my english isnot v good just ok plz reply

Well the way we practice is that I place the Patient Vitals, name and symptom on the door of my study and she sits on the bed inside. I enter like the main exam....introduce myself and she reads out the symptoms from a sheet she has as I ask the questions. Then I do the exam and finish and then practice writing the PN. She is a doctor too so that helps. She can act also.....might fine too...LOL.
Well I exchanged the date with a person from here who needed my date in December and he gave up his date for october. I am applying for 2007 match so thats why i needed to go this early. Hope this helps.

thanks alot for urreply can u advice me how later I can give c sto have my results safely? I intend to go in 2008 match have done with s2 preparing for s1 I wonder should I give cs before s1 ??

Step 2 Cs should not require a lot of time to prepare....10-14 days of practice should be enough if you english is good.....so if you step 1 is scheduled some time from now go ahead and take the Step 2 CS or at least register for it. The dates are so hard to come by that you might as well keep a date with you right away......you can change dates as many times and as many places you want it free anyways for a year. I would say pay for CS take the earliest date available...if that date is well before your Step 1 take it and finish with it because the results take a while to come......if not then at least take a date right after your step 1 you dont want to wait too long after Step 1 and get out of the mode for studying....
