I just got a email from a program asking me to schedule a telephone pre-interview with them. Could someone please tell me how this differs from a live face to face interview, what I mean is that do they ask the same type of questions? What exactly does this kind of pre-screening involve? Any guidance would be highly appreciated

HEY MYMEGHJI

I got a call from PD re the same to my surprise without any prior email; i think its better than face to face interview and he asked about my educationl background, reasons for pursing residency in US, stengths and i had any q's abt the program... it was pretty informal discussuion and more of fun

but i am still to hear formally frm the program (hence keeping its identity unrevealed)

There always seems to be an extra level of "filter" for IMGs...as if it werent tough enough already..

Doesnt matter, bring it on!! We'll give 'em the best shot dat we got!!
