they have to be differentiated.

hernias are reducible, hydroceles are not. how does their managemnt differ?

are u talking about the surgical technique? i donīt think so.

communicating hydrocele can be operated as well as inguinal hernias. noncommunicating hydrocele can resolve on its own (so, give it a chance to not operate it) before the age of 1 year. umbilical hernias can also wait to close spontaneously by the age of 2-3 years.

generally talking, of course it also depends on the size and if they are growing rapidly.
