hi im frm india. can anybody tell me wat visa i shd apply 4 in order to go to us 4 step 2 cs. also can a student visa get converted into a H1 visa. wat if i go thr to do MS and start giving my steps 1&2 thr itself. can u discontinue ur MS if u get residency and u r in us on a student visa? pleeeez respond if anyone of u has any sugesstion.

Hi For CS you need to apply for B1/B2(Business) Visa I have no idea regarding other queries GL Parul

titly - I know that F1 can be converted in H1B as long as the employer sponsors you . Good luck

hey thanx to all 4 replying. is it true dat if u try applying for visa for cs frm countries lik singapore ,malaysia u have better chances. how do u go abt doing dat? also, my fiance is a gc holder. will marriage help me or worsen the situation?

Hi titly If your fiancee is a greenc ard holder, getting marreid worsens situation. I think get married but stay on what ever visa u get. I ahve heard that it is tough to get a dependant visa for a person who is dependant on GC. This is all hearsay. So just dont take my word for it. You can actually post this info in a immigration forum and get a better answer.

F1 can be converted to any other visa, change of status can be done in the us timeconsuming, or faster in your own country. Stay away from J1 if there are no plans on returning to homecountry for 2 years. J1 is very easy to get, BUT it is because it is time limited and can never be changed.and you have to return HOME, does not matter if you start a new family here get married kids etc. You will have to go home.
