Wow... I cant believe it's so close to getting over... this has been by far the hardest months of my life. I've had to put my life on hold to accomplish this .But guys, guess what?? It's getting over! My exam is in 2 days. I've been studying for about 2 years (since graduated) but I spent a year working for liscensure in my country (so I didnt study full time), started seriously in december and giving it all since may... started working in june part time and asked this last month off to study for the last time for this exam... and here I am, this is my last day studying and tomorrow relax... I dont feel prepared at all... but I've done qbank, nbme, kaplan simulated and if they are really good predictors, i'm gonna be fine... maybe its part of this thing that you never feel prepared. In my anxious time (as now) I use to get in this forum and read other experiences and it makes you feel you are not alone in this. So I promise I will give my experience after I take the exam... I'll put all my effort in God's hands and... let the battle begin!! grin

Thank you so much!!
Well, now I'll post my experience...
I started studying 2 years ago but very irregularly since I was working and doing shifts... I started more seriously on december last year... and then started a job in june... part time... But well, I managed to study from 12 hours daily (when wasnt working) to 6-7 hours when I was. I read kaplan books twice, watched the videos, heard goljan audio, used first aid and did Qbank 3 weeks before exam... ended with 76%/100% complete. Did NBME 10 days before and got 600. Did the sample CD 3 days before and got 39, 44 and 42. Kaplan simulated 2 days before the exam got 78%.Had my exam 5 days ago... I really can't tell how I did... I just have this feeling that I could have failed or done good... now just can wait for the results praying that I have done well. Feel free to ask anything you would like to know and I'll post my score as soon as i get it smiling face Good luck to all!!!

Thanks dr.dolittle... in my opinion first aid is just a rapid review for the last days... I would say it is a good source for studying the last week, even better if you add some important things from other books to it... I wouldnt study only from first aid. I think it was good for microbiology and pharmacology, but again, the exam sometimes have details that wouldnt be there. Also qbank have some things that you can add to it. Hope it helps!! wink

thanks for replying allymd, im actually studing from kaplan and adding important stuff in first aid. i just wanted to make sure im not adding to much that might not be needed in the exam. thats if first aid was sufficient because since its time consuming.

good luck in the future
