Most of us belong to waste basket category and will go to a waste basket program. Including me.
Some of us who r exceptional will go to Good programs
None of us will go to Prime Programs.

I get your point. My 2 cents:
what you are saying is true also for AMG.
if you are hoping to enter a prime program, I would recommend that you go there to have experinece with them and if they like you, you will have a chance.
finally, residents are a big part of how good the program is. it is not unidirectional here. if you are a good resident, you will make the program better.
