what's PRIMARY CARE internal medicine residency?
Is it something different from catagorical IM programs?
plz rank following SUNY upstate, SUNY downstate, SUNY buffalo, STATEN ISLAND university hospital.

In primary care they focus more on ambulatory/out-patient rotations. You can look at their PGY1/2/3 schedule and see it's a bit different. It is a 3 year program. Most people get confused by these three terms: preliminary, transitional, and primary care.
