what is zero order kinetics and which drugs follow it?shaking headshaking head

zero-order is when a CONSTANT amount of drug is eliminated per unit time

If you plot a graph of drug concentration (y-axis) and time (x-axis) it would be a straight line sloping down. i.e as time goes on concentration decreases in proportion.

Drugs that follow this include: Phenytoin, Aspirin, Alcohol, Theophylline and high dose Thiopentone

Good luck to all.
