Will patients suffering from REM sleep disorder recall what happened when awakened?

if you are reffering to nightmares, they occur during REM sleep and yes they will be remembered. On the other hand, night terrors occur in stage 4 sleep and will NOT be remembered.

The question is more about the fact that some people are not totally paralyzed during the REM sleep, which ends up hurting themself or sleeping partners.
