hi everybody..

my professor in medschool has MD IM & Felloship in Genetics from downstate university of Newyork, but he's been in Egypt for the last five years, he offered to make me a US LoR with the sympol (slogan) of Downstate University of Newyork, being a fellow there in the past..... is it ok?

Did you work in New York? What is the ethical answer here? You know what it is.

No it is not correct, he can put that he hasamerican training, the letter head should be of his present hospital or nothing else personal.

  #4

Then again, now that I thought about it, if the letter is stating that I knew Dr. Jones (or Ahmed or Patel) when I was on staff at another hospital.......that's okay. It's still a LOR from a physician that knew you when he was in Egypt.

Hope this helps.

yeah, U helped alot as usual..

for sure he'll declare that I've worked with him while he was teaching me in *** unoversity in Egypt.. but he think he's the right to title it by the name & sympol of newyork university (to make it USLoR wich is very hard 4 me to have one).. will it B accepted for PD/PC ?

any suggestions about something to write in the LoR will B appreciated, BBB

best is he puts its on his current letterhead and mentions in opening paragraph of his intro that he has trained in usa and that he compares u favorably with a us 4th yr medical student. that is best way 2go imhosmiling face
