yeah i hope docarchana posts the answer soon, so we can all figure out what's going on here.

personally, i think A is a better choice. in the long-run, she can be encouraged to see the school counsellor to discuss her issues and whatnot. she's basically suffering from low self-esteem.

a behavior-modification program would be something to go for if she has violent behavior or gets into physical fights with classmates or something like that--this is what i think. the question stem doesn't indicate she's heading towards juvenile delinquency.

her behavior so far is that she ditches school and isn't taking as much interest in her studies as before. and this is usually linked to some self-esteem issue--her acne is upsetting her and is reason enough for low self-esteem at this age.

Choices B & E: Make no sense or arent even applicable

Choice C: Giving her Antidepressants wont help cos its not gonna help her only alleviate her signs. This is the worst possible thing I cud ever do a teenager. Instead of talking to them just prescibe drugs. No Wonder Current Rock Bands r singing " Lithium, I can Depend on u "

gringrindint know about the song, ofcourse you have to combine therapy with antidepressants. Here they ask what would you tell mother rather than pt.It does not feel normal adolescent behavior to me.

another point,"Plus, I've put on ten pounds." Today she weighs 54 kg (120 lb); she is 165 cm (5 ft 5 in) tall"

looks like she has anorexic tendancies.

Ah cmon she is on the lower limit of BMI Of the Normal Range. She is not Anorexic. Tell Me One Female Teenager who doesnt think she is fat. Every one of them is either trying to be Posh Spice or Paris or Keira Knightly.

Silver, your explanation has sense, now I look at this as a normal adolescence phase.

anyway I said anorexic tendancy not anorexia nervosa.Actually I dont think tendancy is any scientific term. But this girl surely needs help, telling her mother this is normal adolescent phase will not be sufficient.nod

hope we get the answer soon, till then there are lot more subjects to studynodcool
