B. The duration of the disease is twice as long in town B

I do not agree, please explain your answer.
I think the correct answer is D.
Town A has twice the prevalence because they have 1/2 the access to medical care facility.

  #5

prevalence = I*D... so if the incidence is same n prevalence is diff... d diff. should be in duration..
so its Bsmiling face

The duration of disease is longer in A than B and... that is what the option B in the answer list above states....Ans is B.

Moreover the question does not tell us the reason for this difference , it may be some other reason than what is mentioned in option D...

Hope it helps

this is a conceptual formula. cannot be used for arithmatic calculation of either the dur or the incidence.
it just shows that prev inc with the inc in incidence

i think the ans is D
