sure intern_doc...IMG 2002 grad/87/91/passed all 1st attempt/GC/USCE under pvt MD/+research exp, 1publication, 1yr residency in anes in home country....just average compared to the 99/99s here

Hi
I have a question on illinois state licensing requirement. I recvd a letter from a program in Illinois - Advocate Lutheran stating that -
If graduated before 2006, 150 hours CME(required by State of Illinois for licensure)
What is this 150 hrs CME reqmt and how can IMG's get this. Seems like then one should not have applied to any program in Illinois - Am I missing something here
Has anyone encountered this

applied to 40 fp's in mid october. i'm 91/99, old grad(98),one pub,no usce,GC,Pending CS,
no iv
FP rejection from....Jamaica so far, 5 rej in IM.

Finally, glad to be part of another thread.
2 invites so far, (west virginia-10/22 and north carolina-10/18)
and probably 8 rejections from FM.

hi drsm, yep greenville NC also. I think its a nice program. Interviewing by mid november, hope to learn more about them during my visit there.

wanted to ask 1 doubt. Got an email from University of Texas Medical Branch Hospitals Program -Family Medicine , saying that my appl. is on hold and the decision will probably b taken in December.. i dont understand why the decision will b taken so late? does that mean they will start calling in ppl only in december or they jst wanna keep me as a backup in case their other candidates dont show up for interview?

Congrats on IV at Sparrow/MSU. I hv no idea abt the program.is it v.competitive..no idea if they offer prematches..i havent yet scheduled my iv there..if they do offer prematch then i guess i shud schedule it early..do let me know if u find out something plz?
And wud u mind sharing ur credentials with me? mine - 95/87/CS 1st attempt/no USCE as such/J1/2006 grad..
