My oasis was updated on the 20th of Sept and I found I passed using the oasis trick. I sent my result to a friend of mine in the US so I could get it as soon as possible. To date (the 25th), my result still hasn't reached. I was under the impression I'd get the result 2-3 business days after oasis is updated, so is it possible that the postal service misplaced my scores? Any feedback to illuminate the situation would be appreciated.

It's been 5 business days since my result was dispatched to a US address (in Ohio). My scores have not yet arrived. I was expecting the result in 3 business days, so the last 48 hours have been harrowing for me. I don't know if my "delayed" score falls within the realm of what's normal for the USPS (U.S. Postal Service) or if somehow my score report has been lost by USPS. I called ECFMG to confirm that the result was indeed dispatched, so there's can be no problem there. It's all up to the USPS. Any feedback on this situation would be appreciated.

DrPak, USPS is usually very efficient, I've never had a letter lost in years as long as it is sent to the right address. However, they've been several occasions (rarely though) when the mailings would come a few days later than expected. Especially if it's mailed across the country, it can take up to 10 days. Don't worry just yet and CONGRATULATIONS on passing.

Thanks 2006?Maybe... (what a strange nick to call you with! hehehe). I'm also reluctant to believe they have lost it. ECFMG tells me to wait 10 days before the claim that it's lost is legit.

yeah 6 biz days appears long but i wont neccessary blame usps. ecfmg must have some funny system for dispatching mail cos it took forever for me to get my orange slip. about 10 biz days from the 'dispatched' date. this is not usps!!! when i made a report about it, they sent me another one. this arrived within standard time of 3 biz days. ( i actually received it the day after the first one arrived). so number 10 is the lucky day. take some propranolol meanwhile. it is good for the heart. ( that is what we learn at step 2) ,

Congradulation on passing Step 1 , I am sure you did fine . I found out The ECFMG system is not too efficient about score report and mail for ex... I too my exam on august 8 and still no score . you , at least know that you passed . After 10 buisseness day passed and call them . By the time please wait and pray for the score . You ' ll do just fine buddy .

Well, I've given up on the USPS. I'm faxing an application to ECFMG tomorrow asking them to send me my score report again.

After 7 business days have passed and still no score report, a call to ECFMG had the representative admiting that the result is most probably lost. She advised me to fax them an application asking for a "duplicate" score report to be sent again. I sent the fax in and called again and was told that it takes 10 business days to "process" the application before my score can be released and that there's no way to expedite this. I've been on the edge since the 23rd thinking my score report will come in any day now, and now it seems that it might well be delayed for upto 2 more weeks. Do I have the world's worst luck or is this not an uncommon occurence?

yeah, PA to Ohio shouldn't take this long. However, I am still crossing my fingers that you'll get it today or on Mon. Is your friend's mailbox secure? I mean, there are no locks on mailboxes where I live, theoretically anything can happen. It's very uncommon for the mail to get lost.
