Just took NBME-form 3 yesterday, and got a disgustingly low score. Was scheduled for this thurs and now pushing it back another 3 weeks.
I am a repeater as you guys all now. I'm extremeley frustrated but dont want to get down.. as that is counterproductive. im always soooo close but never quite enough, my previous attempts were 68, 71 and 74, in a 1 year time schedule. so im not exactly totally clueless.. w
ive done pass program.. some stuff ok, but obviously, not enough for me to pass..
score 95 i think is good and have done makority of notes. really indepth.
UW questions are tough and NBME style.. i think they stole 2-3 questions too from NBME-form 3.. the one about the need for a professional translator.
Im giving myself another 3 weeks.
Can you guys help me out here..my lowest believe it or not was behavorial. Good news is that my consistently low topics in previous exams have improved alot. like biochem and phys, pharm..
I'm enrolled in UW, score 95.. I dont want to have to reread anything. But honestly, i didnt cover Behavorial before i took the form so probably serves me right. i have a small notebook and put all my don't know materials on there.. like hard to recall drugs, the basic concepts of endo hormones and its path.. and some biochem stuff.. and look over it repeatedly.
i just dont want to make the same mistake last time by leaving a topic open.. uncovered.. and basically winging it.. find out i didnt make it again.
Should i do questions per subject in tutor mode? I've never done that before and im thnking maybe that myt help me. or do i hit the books again..as much as possible i dont want to read again. please give me solid advice

keep doing questions and read all the answers. maybe if you go thru all the answers it will serve you more than just seeing your score and go to the next text
reread only FA if you dont want to read anything else anymore- understandable!
and really, believe in yourself,
we all can and will do this!

thanks.. just did a block of questions on tutor mode on UW.. and did well.. I guess i just got to keep on trucking.. thanks for the kind words.. good luck also..

hey,
well, are you asking that, your score in mbme form 3 is 350, if it is then no problem, because its the hardest amoung all the nbme forms, I got 320 in nbme form 3 and got 420 in nbme form 2, then what does that mean, nbme form 3 is hard and doesn't correlate with your real score.

thanks for being honest about your score.. and i found your reply to be very encouraging! well i went ahead and changed my date.. im gonna take form 4 and see what happens with that.
ive read about 83 pages of Kaplan's Behavorial science today since it was my lowest on that form 3. But honestly, just tired of reading and wondering if its all for not..
no choice i guess. thanks again

well, I did the same thing just like you, because its so discouraging, that you would say that its definitly a bad score and for sure you are not ready for your test.
well, when I was doing my nbme form 3 it was very disturbing environment out side the room where I was doing my test, I'm sure it also affect my score.
Actually my performance was 63% comulitive in usmle rx, and memorize all the right and wrong answers in the kaplan q bank, after I did 320 in my nbme form 3. Just after my nbme form 3 I did my kaplan centre exam and got 62%, and at that time I was thinking that I'm not ready for my test, I just give my centre exam to see whether nbme form 3 shows my actual score or its the hard, and it comes out that its the hard. Actually one of my friends he did kaplan centre exam one week before and got around 60% and got 84 in the real exam, so you can see, how does kaplan centre exam correlate with the real exam.
