A 45-year-old man with increased serum LDL concentrations is treated with cholestyramine, which binds bile salts in the small intestine. The most likely result is prevention of which of the following?

A. Conversion of IDLs to LDLs in the bloodstream
B. Formation of chylomicrons in intestinal epithelial cells
C. Resorption and redistribution of bile salts to the liver
D. Synthesis of cholesterol in the liver

I don't think we can form Chylomicrons if we inhibit the absorbtion of fats from the GI?

(D --> Synthesis of cholesterol in the liver can still occur. Because they're made from Acetyl-CoA, which can be derived from Glucose. So even if we inhibit the absorption of fats, cholesterol synthesis can still occur)

My guess.

its a resin that complexes bile salts and prevents their reabsorption from GI tract. so I guess C is the right ans.
