I have done my elective rotations 6 years ago here in USA. Q. Would it have some value if get a recommendation letter from that attending? Or would it hold some value. Some thing is better than nothing, I think. Q. That physician with whom I have done rotation is a full professor at big univeristy hospital but he is not responding to my emails. I have done all a** kissing. What else could I do? I have even sent him scanned copy of the evalutaion which he provided to me at the end of ratation so that atleast he could see his hand writing, grades, and comments. I am sure lots of people would have been at my place and what to do. I don't want to send him so many emails so that he become mad as well.

Pray that he responds.... but really, an LoR of something you did 6 yrs ago may not be that strong. But the again, something is better than nothing. Work on something else too... a plan B.... a strong LoR from your recent supervisors will be better than a scummy letter from some attending from 6 yrs ago. Good luck

Thats why I did mention that I have scanned the copy of evaluation and send to him via email. I am trying to call but he is never available. I am trying my best for what I could get. Lets see how does that go.

go there, talk with his secretary, ask for the best time to get his attention, maybe he had some hours in a private clinic. also, you can get sick from his specialty disease and get his full attention by this way
