Hello BBB,
This silence from the programs is killing me. I've applied to some 60 programs in IM and I'm wondering about the increase in no of applicants this year. Can u pls tell us the aprrox. %age increase in the no. of applicants this year compared to last year.

I applied to approx 70 progs too and I received email from 10 of them asking me to be patient because they don't send invitations for interview until the application deadline. They don't start the selection process until they have all complete applications.
Hope this will make you feel better. I'm in the same boat as you but I feel quite relax coz there is plenty of time to get interviews.

thnxs wanba.. but another thing that is worrying me is my STEP 2 CS. I applied for a B1 Visa for STEP II CS in july. US embasy, here in New delhi, sent my visa appl. to washington for verification. I'm still waiting for a reply for washington. its already 2 months now..

If you haven't done CS yet it will be very difficult for you to match this year. Because it takes to much time to have CS results.

you can still take CS for this match uptill December (i forgot the date), check the result reporting for CS on ECFMG site.
This is another problem for most of IMG's which is beyond their control. I applied for B1 visa in May and still waiting of the clearance after 4 months. You cannot even appeal against this discrimination. I wish you good luck so you can get it early. I am surprised it is taking so much time for you even you applied from India. this is the problem for people who are muslims are applying from muslim countries.
