Hey Delusion, Hang in there Buddy! You have great credential especially prevoius training in neuro!! (Even if it was only a few months!!! I wish I had some training.... ) Programs I think are still focusing on AMGs, your/our time will come soon!!! According to AMA ~30% of the neuro-spots are taken by IMGs! There must be a spot for us somewhere ... out there....

I've gotten only n only rejections for neurology- univ texas- south western, arkansas-little rock, univ wisconsin, vanderbilt, tennessee- memphis. I know the programs from which i got rejects r all good ones, but i'm surprised i havent got even 1 iv. I applied late in september. Thank god i applied the others too, so i have 3 ivs from im.

I am really worried about the preliminary programs now. I haven't gotten a single invite for a prelminary program interview. I have gotten 5 invites now mostly advanced neurology programs. My anxiety levels are rising and I don't really know whatelse to do as the deadline for application for most programs is approaching. Any ideas?

Hey Guys, I have the same problem so far I got 5 IV for neuro (4 in the last 3 days Fri and Monday) only one is Cat, rest is advanced and only 1 invitation for prelim (Johns Hopkins... go figure.... ) I applied to 27-27 neuro and intern but I guess it is more difficult to secure a PGY-1 position than getting into advanced training... Where did you guys applied to prelim? I applied on the East Coast, but so far I only heard from North-East programs in NY and MA... Good Luck to Everyone!!

Hi, I really don't know how to answer that since I don't know what the programs look out for in these applications. However, I did some research work and obtained some clinical experience working in a neurology unit this summer. That experience gave me some US Lors. But that notwithstanding, I think God is just helping me out since most candidates have more stellar qualities than I do. Again remember that most neurology residency programs are univesity-based programs and these programs send out their IVs late november and december. So I assume that we all will receive our own fair share of invitations soon. All the best
