we do triple screen on moms at 16 weeks gestation, if suppose it is positive for downs syndrome we will then go to amniocentesis. we can't do chorionic villus sampling as that is done at 12 weeks. right?

  #2

Q2-is trichomonas a reportable disease or not?

  #3

trich is not in the top 16 mandatory reportable diseases.

cvs is a higher risk procedure than amnio. hence at a gestational age of 16 weeks we'd prefer amniocentesis
