hi to all the docss out here ...
well i am a student of Final Yr MBBS...and planned to take Step 1 and had already begun the prep. But, Final Yr along with rotations has been really tough. have to study for Final yr as well..and so i have decided to take Step 2 first and then GO for step 1. this would be easy for me..coz i already am studying for my Final yr. the subjects are all same...and hence with my busy hospital schedule....it would be tough for me to take step 1 immediately after final yr as I HAD planned previously . well guys now id report here daily abt my progress. insha allah.
have started with INTERNAL MEDICINE. will do the first chapter of Gastroenterology today.
will write abt my progress later docs. for now i should return to my books and try to make it to my GOAL for today.!!!

MY books for the Prep are the KAPLAN LECTURE NOTES.
and for MCQS id do the USMLE WORLD Q BOOKS.
i AM IN NEED OD ADVICE from my SENIORS. please advice me abt anything that needs to be modified here.
I AM NEED OF ALOT OF SUPPORT. and I AM SURE ID FIND IT ON THIS FORUM!
HOPE I CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!

well i have been busy with my rotations and hence couldnt write about my progress. well guys i have been busy with the GIT from internal medicine, but havent finished the chapter yet. will be doing it today insha allah.
will update my diary soon with my progress.

please keep in mind that in final year most of ur consultants will hardly care about Y? they will be concerned more about what u should do. u shoul dback up with some 'y's for the step. do try to accomodate some pharma, esp for psyche.
also remember to do well in the exam , ur answer will not be what was done, its what should be done. this is especially true for behavorial science.
add kaplan q book for the first read. UW is five star for USMLE, but either u shud take a longer subscription esp with the draining final year rotations, or reserve it for a little later.
i hope ur hard work pays off.

i really appreciate all the advice from my seniors.
well...i have been busy with my rotations...then ramadan...and hence havent been able to study much. but i have to complete the GIT section from my medicine textbook and from kaplan too...THEN...id write abt my progress......hope to be back with some achievement ....real soon insha allah. take care all of u....

hello people.
i havent been regular in this journal since a long time now and thats coz i wasnt really studying much... u know....well......
Along with the schedule of my rotations in the medicine ward + Ramzan, i am trying to complete my GIT section from my MEDICINE textbook. IT SEEMS SOOOOOO LENGHTY AT TIMES>... that i cant seem to go along with it. anyways...now i have decided that id keep posting whatever topics i cover everyday. that will make me study something coz at the end of the day id REALLY like to write ABOUT AT LEAST SOME PROGRESS DURING THE DAY. anyways people... will be writing from tom insha allah.
today i managed to do CA stomach. and part of Malabsorption. will report abt more tom insha allah.

have been busy with my new ward...peads and its for sure a tough one. anyways.... i did some part of the Liver and biliary system chap...from the book. havent comleted it. plan to do it soon insha allah. lets hope THIS SOON comessss SOOOOONER.... for me!!!!! best of luck everyone.!

hi guys i am back !!! have been busy with my rotations and alot of personal matters....all taking a toll on my prep. anyways....i wil be back on track now insha allah. i have to be ready with my prep for my final prof which will be around in 2 mnths time. have to study SO MUCH...coz this yr i havent been able to do alottttt..... well id be starting it from today. will keep posting my progress. .... today id start with ENDOCRINOLOGY in MEDICINE!!!! wish me luck fellow docs!!!

thanx alot for ur input Mytime.i am really glad to see it.thanx alot for the encouragement.
well guys NO I HAVENT DONE CARDIOVASCULAR. i started it and then shifted on to GI.and along with it surgery. our exams are coming up soon......may be around next mnth. so have to prepare for the final prof too.
plan to do liver and biliary system today and a chapter of surgery.
will write abt my progress tonite or tom insha allah.

hmm i am still onto LIVER AND BILIARY SYSTEM. did a chapter from surgery yesterday. have a lot more to do. today i just plan to get liver and biliary system DONE along with kaplan DVD lectures. and id probably hear glojan's lecture regarding this chapter. it may help. okay guys. will report abt this tom now>

hey guys liver is finally completed... WOW!!.hmmm today id be doing some chapters of ENT insha allah. have to do OBS and medicine as well...final prof is close...but this journal is a wonderful place....atleast thinking of writing my accomplishment gives me an urge to do MORE. will report very soon again! happy studying guys!

hi fellow docs..
well this is me reporting after a long time. well i am finally done with my Final Proff MBBS. and now i have to decide abt my next step.well guyssss....after having been done and over with my Final year and discussing with my seniors....i have come to decide...that id take step 1 first and then id go for step 2. hence id shift to that section again..though i had begun my prep fpr step 2...but sooner or later id have to take that tooo...so insha allah i WILL do it after i pass my step1 with a score of 99!!
