I have been reading postings on this forum since a long time now and I want to thank all the people who helped me out in one way or the other. This time I really need help.I am a pgy 1 in psychiatry in a prog in ny .But I like medicine and I want to apply again in medicine.I dont want to tell my prog about it as they are holding my H1 .How can you apply and go to interview without offending them.I have heard that programs need a PD letter .Is it possible or I should just drop the idea.I dont have my vacation anytime soon which I could have used for my interviews. On top of all this I dont have good scroes , I have graduated within 5 yr.Please please help.I do have US. I am sorry pmd. What I would do I guess is I would research all the programs and see where I could qualify as far as the credentials, and most importantly where they don't require a letter from your PD, talk to them, and hopefully you get some interviews, then do whatever it takes to attend those interviews. DOn't go by what if... Give it your best shot, try everything. I know what I'm saying, I went by what if... last year, and I let go of something for the sake of something hypothetical (that by the way did not happen), and to make a long story short, I could have been in PGY2 now, but no, I made the wrong decision and now I'm nowhere...

Best of luck to you buddy!
