Hi, currently I am in US as a postdoctoral fellow, with a J1 visa. I have been offered to switch this visa to H1b, but I have heard that H1b will make more difficult to get a residency position. Is it true that once you have an H1b you cannot change to a J1 visa? Can I change to the H1b or it's better to have the J1? thanks in advance.
