Yesterday I received a phone call from one of the US doctors who gave me LoR.
She told me that some program directors like when the LoR is addressed directly to them, meaning, "Dear Mr. Smith!" instead of impersonal "Dear Program Director!".
She offered to write several letters if I give her the names of program directors , said that it might help....???...
What do You think, guys?
I could give her names of at least 5 people who I'd Like the LoR to be addressed to, but I wanted to get your opinion first ...

if a doctor is ready to do that, i think u should go for it.

How about ERAS application. If I'm not mistaken, they can hold only 4 letters, right?
I also have anothere LoRs form other doctors, I want to be able to submit everything I have. What do You think?

I write my own LORs and sometimes address them to God .Sometimes i address them to the creator of this world and sometimes to my bat.I have got 4 stellar lors written by myself and addressed to God

Yeah, very funny...except I'm asking a real question and expecting a real answer.
Unfortunately Your humorous reaponse doesn't carry any valuable info for me, laptop.

If I were in ur place I would request the LOR writer to write 4 - 5 lors with names of PDs where I have a realistic chance of interviewing. And write 1 LOR with heading "Dear Program Director " for rest of the programs.

You can send more than 4 letters to ERAS but only 4 letters to one program.
