can some body advise me on how to tell a patient about the possibility of malignany. If in a case os Night sweats SP could give us a history suggestive of mediastinal lymphoma, then how do we elaborate the possibility of malignancy, at same time not making the SP anxious? Some body please give me an advice on this.

How about this - Dear Mr Smith thank you for letting me examine you. And as for your symptoms at this moment I am not able to tell you with certainity what is causing them, but there are few things going on in my mind. One of the things I am concerned about is the possibility of a cancer of lymph nodes. As I said I am not sure but we willdo some investigations like .... to find out if that is the case.
